If you're undecided about whether to join, just come along this evening and meet the group; you can make your mind up afterwards!

Plans for the future include guest speakers at meetings and social events to give more opportunities to get to know the other businesspeople in your local area.

Remember, in business, it's not what you know, but whom ...

My new book

I have an interest in local folklore, superstition, and the supernatural.
I have already had one book published on this called Wiltshire Stories of the Supernatural. It contains, amongst other things, a very interesting true ghost story set in Calne.
I now have a new book coming out 29th of October 2009, Hampshire and the New Forest Stories of the Supernatural.
All of the stories in both books are based on true stories of strange happenings, ghosts, poltergeists, black dogs, and a little taste o… Continue

May Meeting

I hope you all enjoyed the May meeting, and thank you all for attending. We met Alun from Visit Wiltshire who gave an excellent presentation of places to visit in the county and also explained howVisit Wiltshire works. I know from speaking to a few of you, it was very interesting and gave the group a few ideas for places to visit and created a few talking points.

We have 4 new paid up members, so I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for joining for the year, and hope you enjoy… Continue

The second meeting of 2009 and another increase in numbers, which shows the Calne Business Network is gathering momentum. Marc Fitchett, co-founder of the network, was also back in attendance after being unable to make the March meeting at the last minute!

Marc kicked off the meeting, giving him a chance to welcome the members to the 20… Continue

CBN Meeting 4 March 2009

A big thanks to everyone who was at the meeting last night. I think it was a very positive meeting with a good response. The remit of the meeting was to get the ball rolling again and I think there was a lot of momentum generated; the nature of the network to be business-driven and social will make it interesting for all, and beneficial for Calne.

It was particularly interesting to me to see the degree to which people care ab… Continue
